Calling all Facebookers: In 24 hours, help us win $1,000!
Are you on Facebook? Do you want to help win $1,000 for the Freedom Journalism School -- the Institute's exciting new project to train 50 grassroots journalists across the South?
Then get ready: Tomorrow at 3pm, we're launching a 24-hour Facebook Fundraising Campaign -- and your gift of just $10 could win $1,000 to launch the Freedom Journalism School!
Here's how: We're entering America's Giving Challenge, a contest to see which non-profit can bring in the most Facebook donations in 24 hours. If we win the 24-hour challenge, the Institute gets $1,000! Second prize is $500.
Visit our Facebook cause for more information.
It's easy: All you have to do is donate $10 or more in the 24 hours between 3 pm, Wednesday Nov. 4 and 2:59 pm, Thursday Nov. 5.
It's a great deal: Your tax-deductible gift of $10+ will go towards giving a new generation of journalists the skills and tools they need to do hard-hitting investigative reporting.
And winning $1,000 will be a big boost in helping us get the school off the ground!
So Facebookers, start your engines! In 24 hours, go here to invest in the future of free and fearless journalism in the South
Thanks!
- Chris, Desiree, Jerimee and Sue for the Facing South team
PS -- THANK YOU to all of you who have already donated -- please consider chipping in just $10 through Facebook tomorrow to help us win the $1,000 challenge!
