Senator Vitter may have frequented prostitutes and got caught--but he is still alive and well and continues himself to be a prostitute in the Senate along with others who believe that only their contributors matter. Forget about the impact on human health and the cost of cancer; both financial and moral.
This has to stop by the only way currently possible--public finance of all elected offices--and no contributors from corporations or special interest groups like the American Federation for Children (has nothing to do with children!), or the American Legislative Exchange Council (ALEC) which actually writes state legislation for for self interest laws or regulations. Each legislative session produces about 1,000 ALEC written laws or regulations for about 30 states.
